Electric Mobile Racking Overview

Electric Mobile Racking

Electric mobile rack takes full advantage of the warehouse space—delivering 3 times the space utilization rate compared to general shelves. Each unit can be moved separately on the guide rail. It is easy to operate: drive a unit simply by pressing the button. Every rack features its own transmission equipment linked to an electromotor and is equipped with advanced safety devices. It is mostly applied in refrigeratory or anti-explosion warehouses, providing 100% direct access to load and retrieve goods.

Brief Introduction

Electric Mobile Rack is the most common form of density storage, with the aid of forklift to access the goods. Its space utilization rate can reach more than 85%. The electric mobile rack is made up of track (or guide device), trolley (walking device), motor, rack, detection device, operation panel and software control system. According to the rail style, it is divided into guide rail type and non-guide rail type.

Construction Process

Step 1: Guide rail construction

Guide Rail Non-Guide Rail
Guide rail electric mobile rack needs notching, rail laying, pouring and rail maintenance. It is suitable for a warehouse with large load capacity and slotting on the ground. Non-guide rail electric mobile rack does not need notching. It is suitable for a warehouse with smaller loading requirements and no slotting on the ground.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
FAQ Overview Service and Support
1. How does an electric mobile racking system improve warehouse storage capacity?

By eliminating multiple static aisles and using movable bases that open only one access aisle when required, electric mobile racking can increase warehouse space utilization to over 85%, effectively tripling the capacity compared to standard selective pallet racking.

2. What is the difference between guide rail and non-guide rail mobile racks?

Guide rail systems require floor notching, rail embedment, and concrete pouring, capable of handling higher loads up to 32 tons/unit. Non-guide rail systems use polyurethane wheels with mechanical guidance, requiring no floor slotting, and are suitable for existing floors with up to 16 tons/unit capacity.

3. Is this racking solution suitable for cold storage and deep-freeze facilities?

Yes. Electric mobile racks are extensively deployed in refrigerated and cold warehouse environments because they maximize volume utilization, significantly lowering refrigeration and energy expenses per stored pallet.

4. What safety mechanisms are integrated to protect personnel and inventory?

Every unit is equipped with individual transmission systems, photoelectric safety detection devices, emergency stop buttons, and obstacle detection sensors that halt rack movement immediately upon detecting any intrusion.

5. Can dimensions, load capacities, and OEM finishes be customized?

Yes. Dimensions (depth, width, height), load capacity per beam level or base unit, powder coating colors, galvanized finishing, and OEM production requirements are fully customizable to meet specific warehouse layouts.
